Find Out More About Your Character by Interviewing Him/Her.

You can use these questions or come up with your own, depending on the genre and/or the time period of your WIP.  Remember, you are interviewing your character – don’t inject yourself into their answers,

The box will expand to fit the question and answer, so no additional boxes are necessary unless you have additional questions.  .

  1. If you could give your life an ‘extreme makeover’, what would you do?
  1.  Can I make over my family?  Well just my mother.  She is a bit much sometimes and thinks she is so much better than everyone else.
  1. If you could change just one or two things about yourself, what would they be?  Why?

       A.  Isn’t that the same question as before?

  1. What would you say the kind of person you are?  Why?
  1.  I am kind and caring person.  I like to look out for other people besides me.
       Q.   Do you like how you look?  What would you change, if you could?  Why?

A .  I am confident in the way I look because I take the time to maintain it.  I am not one of those obsessed women or anything, just know that it takes confidence to win people over in the field that I am in.

  1. What do you think of yourself?  Are you honest, ethical, and moral, etc.?

A.  I am honest, but I don’t like to get close to too many people.  You never know who likes you for you or who likes you for who you know.

  1. When you’ve had a bad day, what do you do to relax?
  1. I go and stare at trees in the park.  They are the most calming thing in this world.

A.    I hate being single but I am not going to sit and whine about it.  I can work a crowd if that is what you mean.  My mother taught me how to do that before she taught me the alphabet.

  1. What do you think other people think of you?  What do other people think of your looks/clothes?
  1. Damn, you are a nosy ass.  Fine, I hope people think that I am nice, sweet and funny, if they don’t , fuck them.  I got plenty of people around me who think that I am all of those things and a bag of chips.
  1. Are your emotions different when you’re alone as compared to when others are present?

  1. What is your idea of a perfect first date?

A.    One that makes me want a second one.

  1. What is your definition of ‘romantic’?

A.    A movie.  True romance has to be an illusion, at least in my world.
